The FRONTdoor Collective, a nationwide network that is fundamentally transforming the way brands and retailers interact with their consumers through stellar execution of final-mile delivery services, has made a valuable addition to its leadership team, bringing on Rick Hernandez as Senior Vice president of Sales and Business Development.
“Rick will focus on revenue-generating partnerships that will fuel our strategic growth. He brings vast industry experience that is specific to our chosen strategy and path forward,” said Mike Indresano, the FRONTdoor Collective’s Chief Business Officer. “Rick is well-respected in the industry and fully understands the impact that e-commerce has on the last-mile logistics space.”
Over the last 10 years, Rick has led domestic and international sales and business development efforts at Endicia, Stamps.com, and Pitney Bowes. He has created successful commercial innovations with Etsy, UPS, Shopify, DHL eCommerce, USPS, Canada Post, Asendia, Maersk, eBay, and PirateShip.
“Rick is a dynamic, collaborative leader with the proven ability to build strategic relationships that deliver superior merchant and customer experiences. Because he understands the fundamental challenges of last-mile delivery—costs, capacity, timeliness, flexibility, and safety—he will accelerate our partnerships and growth to deliver best-in-class service to the front door of as many customers as possible. We are excited and honored to have him join our team,” Dan Bourgault, the FRONTdoor Collective’s Chief Executive Officer, said.
“I am honored to join the FRONTdoor Collective, an organization built on the premise of a more sustainable economy that leverages the ingenuity and innovation of thousands of entrepreneurs working together and paying their employees a livable wage. Our industry is dominated by last-mile carriers more focused on increasing their profits rather than building out capacity or delivering a better customer experience. They’ve forgotten what it means to hustle, adapt, and overcome. They’ve forgotten how to care for their people or delight the customer. The FRONTdoor Collective will do all that and more to become the preeminent parcel delivery service in North America,” Hernandez said.
The FRONTdoor Collective (FDC) is a growing network of the nation’s best and most experienced delivery partners specializing in eCommerce transportation: First Mile and Final Mile. The FDC aggregates underutilized assets and brings them to market with consistent operating standards, one commercial relationship, and the flexibility to consistently and safely deliver remarkable customer experiences in most major U.S. cities with the speed, agility, and customer service of a local provider. The FDC treats every package as if it were going to their own FRONTdoor! For more information, visit frontdoorcorp.com.
